Olga Pashchenko is one of today’s most versatile keyboard artists; equally at home on fortepiano, modern piano, organ and harpsichord. Praised for her eloquence, passion, and historically informed artistry, she performs internationally as a soloist with leading ensembles and orchestras. From the 2025/26 season she is Artist-in-Residence at AMUZ Antwerp and the newest Artistic Partner of the Orchestra of the Eighteenth Century. Olga and the O18c share a spirit of curiosity and reinvention, of faith and boldness.
Recent highlights in Olga’s career include her debut with the London Philharmonic Orchestra, concerts with the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment, Il Gardellino and Concerto Köln, and a recital tour in Asia. An Alpha Classics artist, Olga Pashchenko and Georg Nigl received the “Preis der deutschen Schallplattenkritik 2021” for the Vanitas album. For Olga’s two most recent releases in 2024 (Mozart Piano Concertos Nos. 20 & 23) and 2025 (Guess Who – Fanny & Felix Mendelssohn), she received a Diapason d’Or, 5-star reviews in BBC Music Magazine and L’Echo, “Album of the Week” accolades from Classic FM, NPO Klassiek, NRC, and Klara Radio, and coverage in Record Geijutsu, Luister Magazine, De Volkskrant, as well as live features on NPO Klassiek and BBC Radio 3. Her latest album Guess Who? Fanny & Felix Mendelssohn was also named one of the “Best Albums of 2025 (so far)” by The Times and Qobuz. Future recordings include the continuation of the Mozart Concertos series with Il Gardellino, and the launch of Beethoven Concertos recordings with the Orchestra of the Eighteenth Century, both with Olga leading the orchestras from her instrument. Olga Pashchenko has lived in the Netherlands since 2010 and is Professor at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam.
Kate Rockett, algemeen en artistiek directeur: “Olga is a very special pianist who is making huge waves in the historically informed musical world. Besides being a virtuoso player she is an artist who is constantly searching for new sounds and new sources of inspiration, rediscovering and recreating repertoire from the past anew each time she plays it. This is a way of music-making that fits perfectly with this orchestra and we are delighted to strengthen our collaboration in this way.’’
Olga Pashchenko: “The rich tradition of historically informed performance (HIP!) in the Netherlands – embodied so beautifully by the legendary Orchestra of the Eighteenth Century – was what first drew me here in 2010. To now stand alongside this extraordinary orchestra as an Artistic Partner feels like a full-circle moment. Our bond runs deep, in our music-making we share the same ‘DNA’. Together, we seek the same style of meaning and joy in music. Whenever we meet, the music itself becomes our language, and together we follow the urge to explore, rethink, interpret and diversify, staying true to our core values. I am profoundly honoured to help carry the legacy of Frans Brüggen into the future.”
