Performing Arts Fund honors full application O18c

On July 3, 2024 the news came out that the Orchestra of the Eighteenth Century can once again count on the support of the Performing Arts Fund from 2025 - 2028. For the first time, the orchestra has applied in category III. We are extremely happy that we can now move forward into the future full of confidence and realize all plans with all partners.

The plan makes an energetic impression on the committee and the projects give confidence that the applicant can achieve the intended musical and substantive deepening. The committee clearly recognizes in the focal points for the coming period the initiated line towards renewal. She finds the collaboration with composer Kate More promising and the linking of concerts to social and scientific developments also testifies to originality.

As always, there is also a nasty edge to the results. Once again this year, an enormous number of ensembles fell by the wayside. Huge blows were dealt to our fellow ensembles, including those from the historically informed performance practice. We wish everyone well with the steps ahead and hope that the proverbial 'saw line' can still be moved.
